Rolph Fernandes was a Franciscan friar for 43 years. He has lived under the tutorship of Fr. Bede Griffiths in India. In 2000, Rolph left the monastic life and is currently teaching Franciscan Spirituality and Eastern Mysticism to the lay world. He created the Montreal interfaith prayer group In The Spirit of Assisi, and is a founding member of the Montreal Interfaith Council, where he served for six years.
